Tony Giacobbe was born and raised in New Jersey.  He graduated from St. Mary's University of Baltimore, MD, BA, 1955.. He then went in to the Army, serving in Korea, 1957-58.  Upon discharge, he retured to New jersey and went into the family construction business.  After 40 years as a Housing Development Project Manager, he reitred and now pursues his latst love- M1 garands.  He has been collecting M1's since 1988, and has an extensive collection, and enjoys working on them, and dealing with people from al over the country and the world.  He is a member of the Garand Collectors Association, the National Rifle assn, The New Jersey Sportsman's Coalition, and is one of the founders and past commander of the Northeast Historical WWII RE-enactment Assn.

Just thought you might like to know that the beautiful Winchester M1 you sold me just turned in an impressive performance.  I shot 1 5 sho group into 2 inches at 100 yds, on 8-shot group into 51/4 inches at 200 yds. on 3-shot group into 17/8 inches at 200 yds, and a 3 shot group into 3/4 inches at 100 yds.  Jack M, NY

Tony, I received my Super Colossal Stupendous Premium Grade M1 last night.  I was so tired from a rough day, but I couldn't wait to open the box.  Tony, it looks like a new rifle that Springfield Armory made 65 years ago!  The pride you have in your abilities to resurrect this piece to this level of perfection is clearly evident.  I will cherish this rifle for the rest of my days and am so grateful to you for all your hard work and the love you put into it.  T. I would like to recommend Mr. Giacobbe to everyone and anyone who might find themselves in a situation like I found myself.  I thought I had a collectible M1 Garand, I bought the books, but still needed a professional assesment of my rifle.  I contact Mr. Giacobbe many times by email and he always promptly replied, even to my most basic questions.  I first sent my stock to him, and he promptly sent it back, and charged nothing but shipping.  I then shipped him my complete rifle, which I must say was a difficult decision, being half way across the country, to an area usually considered anti-gun, and to a man I didn't know.  Mr. Giacobbe assessed and appraised my rifle for a very resonable fee, and shipped my rifle back, in what I consider record time, he also proveded the shipper and tracking number so I could watch as my shipment progressed.  I would not hesittate to use Mr. Giacobbe again, or to recommend him to anyone.  Thank you!
